What are they thinking in Austin?

No more than a few weeks (May 23) ago I posted a story about what the United States would have looked like if Texas and some of the other western states had joined together an left the U.S. and form a separate country. All as a joke or supposition. This idea did appear in the Life Magazine in the early 1950s. The reasoning was that very little of Texas supported a s***e-supported cotton plantation economy here.

Besides the fact that no one ever asked the Comanches, Kiowas, and Apaches what they wanted. Texas is not suitable for a s***e-based cotton plantation economy. Almost anything but! If it had not been for the discovery of oil, Texas would still be as poor as church mice.

Now, within the last week, in the Austin newspaper there was an editorial that addressed the idea that Texas might still succeed from the Union. I thought this was settled and done with by an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. But apparently not completely. At least that writer thought so. It just might make sense, since Texas sends far more money in the assorted revenues that the Federal Government takes, over and above our Federal Income Taxes and such.

None of this would have ever come up if we could elect so one who was a leader, instead of a party hack as president. I am too old to fight in another Civil War, but if things don’t change soon, we may be in for one even bloodier than the first!

Dear fellow Democrats, you can do better than this! Out of all those millions of v**es, I find it hard to believe this is your ‘best shot’! God Help us all!

RJS. you are right and the problem is the far left has taken over the party and their ideology has become their theology. they have become there own religion and have no tolerance for anyone who does not imbrace their beliefs. they are no longer concerned about what is best for the country just what is best for their cause. if anyone In their party does not toe the line 100% they will be banished and austersised. they are true zealots not patriots. but we as a country are to blame for unleashing this plague due to our turning our backs on God

Democrats are changing over by the millions. Why do you think they want to take our guns and now they're wanting to go to some kind of electronic currency. So they know everything that you do. 🤔 Make it easier for them to take your money. How are we supposed to pay a private debt carry a card reader lol

Agreed 100% Robert. Our only option is to get prepared. I am and I hope everyone else is. It’s not gonna be pretty.

I have a prior client and close friend from Prineville Oregon (Oregon is as far left now as anywhere I know) sent me a memo she got from the state of Oregon. It’s states “due to an, upcoming, power shortage we are recommending everyone not use electricity from 2:00 pm through 8:00 pm in efforts to help conserve electricity. We are asking everyone to cook evening meals in microwave ovens or outdoor bbq grills. We further recommend and hope everyone will consider driving electric vehicles to curb the upcoming electrical p******c”. WHAT??? Use microwave ovens and drive electric vehicles to conserve electricity?? How does that make any sense? Well for one thing many people irrigate their gardens with electric water pumps so now they can’t grow several things in their garden because they can’t run the pump to do it. Therefore forced to shop at the grocery stores for federally manipulated food. They are being asked to not water lawns and gardens any more than absolutely necessary to avoid mandatory metering to be installed to ensure these guidelines are being followed. I read it🤬. They’re not having a water shortage. They’re claiming a power shortage and really pushing electric vehicles according to the paperwork I read. Directly from the state of Oregon.

I believe both right and left are going to far with their agenda. Can’t just blame one and not the other.

Very true. The far left and far right categories need to be abolished for sure. But when you see a 39% approval rate for leadership among Democrats and 0% approval rate among Republicans there needs to be an adjustment made there some place. No?
