We had to hire a couple that lives near here to bring their horses over and round up our Scottish Highland cows from the cattle ranch behind us...they are a really nice couple, the woman is the grand daughter of one of the biggest old time cattle ranchers in the county. They have their own property by the thousands of acres that their family owns.

I was on the phone with him this morning, he's been helping me with fences and is going to bring an excavator over to dig post holes, and we got onto fishing...turns out he has a pond on his property that he's been catching 2 pound bass in. I told him that he needs to catch and eat a fair number of these size fish to allow some to get bigger...of course letting him know I'd be more than willing to help with this chore. He was saying he didn't have a clue how to filet them out when I told him how easy it was, and he suggested that I could maybe come over and show him. I told him yeah, I could do that.

I gotta tell you, I love fishing ponds like this, an hour or so in the afternoon, take a few 1 to 2lb fish home, filet them and flour and bread them, make some cole slaw.

I call that right there taking care of my hard working wife so she can come home to a fried fish dinner.

That sounds like a good plan to me. You are to be commended for volunteering to teach him how to fillet. Even if you do have a different agenda. lol. Let us know how you make out

Fish and fillets. Teaching others is part of our purpose in life. Remember to share God's messages as well. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
