I’m traveling up to Ghost Lake Lodge on Ghost Lake in Hayward Wisconsin in a couple weeks. I have never fished it, but I have fished the Chippewa Flowage many times. Has anyone out there fished this lake and have any pointers? Some of my family members are also going including my 79 year old mother who doesn’t fish much anymore, but I would love to show her a great time and show my brother and sisters why I’m still the favorite child! Thanks guys for any help

If it is the one I found on the map (off Hwy 77), it looks promising, but your best bet is to check with the local bait shop who may be able to provide some good info. If you have a boat, fish outside the weeds near drop offs or points. When in doubt, fish the N and W shores as that water warms first and fish in 6-12’ of water on the outside of the weeds. Good luck!

Go to the WI DNR site FIND A LAKE ap, there is a contour map. Call the Lodge you're staying at and have a chat with them. Some of the resorts/lodges I've been to have their own lake maps with features marked. Good Luck!
From the WI DNR -
Ghost Lake is a 384 acre lake located in Sawyer County. It has a maximum depth of 12 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish

Largemouth Bass (Common)
Musky (Present)
Panfish (Present)
Walleye (Present)
OH and you'll be near Clam Lake that has WIs largest Elk Herd. Ya might spot some.
