I’m new to the blog, I’m into pina coladas and long walks on the beach…NOT, seriously, I’m a retired park ranger, I tend to fly fish small mountain streams in Southern California and the eastern Sierra, the more remote or obscure the better, rocky roads and overgrown trails, pretty much catch and release, I also tie my own indistinguishable, disfigured flys.

The only drawback to those kind of fly's is when you get a good one you can never quite match it! Welcome to the stage.

It’s been 5 months, since then I’ve been in the backcountry each month, haven’t been fishing, but have been exploring possibilities in the local mountains and getting my gear ready.
