This forum may not be the place for you. There is so much crap and bad things going on in this country and the world and we are all entitled to our opinion. On the stage we try to have respect for each other and keep it light hearted. Maybe the forum is an escape to keep from going crazy.

Those of us that still can, must. In many states this year it is a ??. The government we have now is bought and paid for by and for the big corporations and the rich. Congress and Senate ruled by and for money and power. Our President has little to no control of the economy while we make do with bad roads, bad water , bad air and high prices.
Is this fixable in our lifetime, doubted as long as big corporations are allowed to get bigger and set their own rules. Many of them are now international and out of our control. Most of our news sources are owned by these same rich so we hear what they want us to hear. We are becoming a Oligarchy.
This will not change as long as money controls campaigns and e******ns.

We’ll said and true for the most part Maid. I think the president has more to do with things, or those directing the president, than many people think. Otherwise things wouldn’t take such a drastic turn immediately after an e******n whether it be good or bad. I agree the rich are the controlling factor in most cases but some presidents foil their plans a little. The current one just goes along with all of it and does what he’s told instead of leading the way. Maybe things will turn around again with the next e******n. I guess we’ll see when that time comes but as of right now we’re in a serious down hill plunge that needs to stop. Whoever it is in control of all of this needs a talkin to.

Many of us said what we wanted to say last time and that didn’t work. They hear those they want to hear and just delete the rest. Bad situation we’ve become for sure. And I have lots of liberal friends who believe in the second amendment and didn’t v**e for the current problem we have. It’s not a left or right thing. It’s much deeper than that. I’m not sure v**es even count any more but I’ll continue to cast mine. I’ve called those people before with no luck at convincing anyone if my opinions. Didn’t expect much if anything other than what I got in the first place “thank you so much for calling and voicing your opinion. It’s very important to us and it’ll be taken into consideration”. End of story.

No, I haven't read the bill... BUT; there was a guy on the radio, last night; saying that this so-called "Red F**g Bill" (or, some part of a "broader bill") boils down to: ANYONE who maybe just wants to "make life hard for you"; would be in a position to "make a claim" (to a Judge) that YOU are"NOT fit, to possess a firearm"; who would create a warrant; then Law Enforcement would (in theory) be "charged with" removing all firearms from your possession; no trial, no hearing, no warning; before hand.
They said that it might take YEARS and THOUSANDS of dollars, to get your own private property returned to you. After "jumping through all manner of firey HOOPS"... So... It bears researching, but, they are (supposedly) "working at" getting it "rammed through"; is my understanding of what "our fearless leaders" are involving themselves in, right now.

As long as sides continue to work together I doubt a gun bill will get Rammed anywhere. Given time they will pick it apart, probably to death. I hope this time we get SOMETHING, at least background checks, age 21 and no huge magazines. Who NEEDS an asault rifle. When we are children wants and needs are the samething, hopefully when we're adults there is a little space between.
