I’m new to the sport and have watched many YouTube videos on which knot is the best knot but figured I would ask as well.
What knot is best for tipper to fly?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, sorry, I always use the improved clinch. For whatever that is worth

I use both the improved clinch and the Orvis knot. Both are good and fairly easy to tie. With both you need to moisten the knot before you tighten it down and avoid twists in the loop going through the hook eye as you tighten. Dry knots and twists in the loop weaken the knot.
As Fish4fun stated, the Orvis knot is strong and easy to tie. It's a lot like the surgeon's knot but it's the one I've been using for quite some time.
Might also look at the Rapala knot, which leaves a loop between the tippet and the fly. Gives some flies a little better action in the water.
