I lived in Brainerd for a couple years. There is North Long Lake, which is a bit north of Brainerd, and there is South Long Lake, which is a bit south of Brainerd. I am not familiar with an Upper Long Lake - although there is an upper part to South Long Lake.
Is your destination actually North Long or South Long?

I am going to guess that you are referring to Upper South Long Lake. If so, here is a link to a map:
