I have decided to get into big swimbaits. I am looking to throw lures in the 4-6 oz range for bass and maybe some inshore species. My questions is what line to use. I have heard that braid is a bad idea when throwing big swimbaits but I have trouble using 20# mono or fluoro because it is so difficult to work with. For the swimbait masters on here is braid really an issue?

I don't think you will have any problems with braided line. Everyone has their own preferences and 'druthers' so make up your mind on your own choices about which line to use with large lures.
Just remember that braid is about 1/3 the diameter as Mono, comparing # breaking strength. Therefore you might find 10 lb, Braid too small to handle efficiently. If you would ordinarily use say 12 lb Mono, you might consider using 35 to 40 lb braid! Just Sayin...RJS
I use 65# braid with 17-30# leader
Are you interested in buying swim baits. I have too many. Many are top end and hard to find
