Yea Steve Irwin
First time I saw him , my brother showed up at my house and says “ turn the TV yo channel 36 or whatever.
Says you gotta watch this Australian dude.
Remember it like it happened last week.
“ oh look at you , you beauty , cricket you are grumpy”
Dude was catching some black Mamba or something else deadly and genuinely respecting that animal.
Guy left a mark on the world. Makes his death , while tragic , somehow make sense.
Died doing what he loved.

Kinda like Marlin Perkins. If you are old enough to remember his weekly show.
Yea Steve Irwin br First time I saw him , my brot... (show quote)

Zoo parade. And don't forget Ramar of the jungle.

Never will there be a more enthusiastic person about his love for animals . Sort of like the 3 stooges. Never can replace there antics

Had Jim Fowler as a side kick who did everything. He designed a animal forest at Charles Town Landing here in Charleston.

Mutual of Omaha Jim sure had the work while Mr. Perkins had the glory. The show by Irwin was awesome but the river monster show makes me wonder what's in the water. I've read about bull sharks being over a thousand miles up a river. Those shows educated and entertained people. I saw all three in my day.im amazed no one has put them on a DVD collection at Walmart

He gets paid to catch the hugest , most gnarly freshwater fish on the planet.
Just watched him bring in a 250 pound LauLau. An Amazonian species of giant catfish.
Locals claim that finding whole human remains inside them.

Dude, I think we are gonna need a bigger boat!!

You know his show is made up of fake drama, fake reality and he is nowhere near as successful as you may think. I actually know the entire back story from one of his TV adventures and know the outfit that hosted him for that adventure. His show is OK if you like fake reality TV.

The Irwin family has many things on their show that doesn't make sense: trying to herd an Emu into a livestock trailer...easiest thing in the world to do with Emu or Ostrich...just hood them and you can walk them gently into anyplace!!!!

No guts, no glory. I was once told that "you have to live until you die or you have not lived at all". That short quote has had major effects on my life. You can live on the edge without being foolish, though that is a fine line.

Heck I’ve got my hands full trying not to get a hand full of trebles with a 4 pound smallmouth Flopping around on the deck

I’ll never try to un hook a musky in the boat ever again.
Leave her in the net and use strong pliers. Even then it can be dicey.
