You talking about the kind with a front loading door and has 2 trays?
Yep! That's far better than dumping your food in a basket & having the food in the middle of the pile cold & uncooked. been there & done that. As Mr. Plumbob said, it's a learning experience.
Okay folks i checked out shrimp in the air fryer. Checked on line and it said 400* for 10 minutes. Thought that was a little long so i went 8 minutes.
To tell you the truth that was still to long. Also if you like that wet juicy shrimp after steaming them, not going to happen with the air fryer unless you under cook them. However i only did a few shrimp as a test and will try again at 3 minutes per side at another time.
The shrimp had a firm taste to them good if you like them that way. Horse radish and ketchup mix and all was good. The rest of the batch i steamed on the stove always good there.

Shrimp, boiling water 2 minutes then under cold water to keep from over cooking. Peel easier that way. I have cooked quit a few.

I steam them on the stove in a colander until they turn pink usually in that 10 minute time frame. Sometimes less depending on the steam.
Do you actually put them in boiling water or wait until the water boils, drain, then cold water?

Get the water boiling before you put them in. No more then 2 min. In the water. The water does stop boiling after you put them in. But only 2 min. In the water.

This method is the only way to do peal and eat shrimp, they will cook to perfection every time, and it doesn't matter how many you cook at a time, just be sure to use a large enough pot, and give them a good stir to separate. To me steaming them takes to long and they will become mealy
Be careful of internet videos teaching cooking. I have a pressure cooker and wanted to make a corned beef. After a video which said put the meat and all veggies in and cook for 90 minutes I said far too long. Another video said do the meat for 90 min, remove and do the veggies for 3 min ( I did 4 min ). This worked well. Had I done the first one I would have had a mushy broth as veggies would have turned into snot.

Ok we ended up with the Cosori 5.8qt and really getting a kick out of it. First try was with ocean perch fillets, delicious! Also, grilled cheese sandwich, bacon, and last night pork loin steaks. Yuuuuum! Worth every penny.
Thank you for all the great thoughts and opinions!
