I’ve got to make time to get out to fish the Merrimack River in Manchester New Hampshire . Big carp also small mouth bass. And what ever else. . Interesting though is a iron train bridge I ride my mountain bike to is a plaque on it which says Phoenix iron co Phoenixville Pennsylvania 1930. This co. Built many bridges around the country. I’m going to go this weekend and take pictures and do some fishing and scouting . Anyone who has any information about this iron co. I would like to hear from . Thanks.

You're gonna freeze your ass off kid! I used to drive to the west side of the river on Rt 3 going toward Bedford. Turn on Hawthorne Drive and follow it around to Station Road. Take Station Road and park where it ends at an open dirt lot (which will most likely be covered with snow). You can walk the river from there or launch a kayak or canoe if you enjoy fighting the current. Good luck!

Have fun exploring. There are places you can get down to the river bank on the east side of the river as well. One is by the baseball stadium.

So, Billy ! Are you 'pedaling' your butt around town, or are you 'peddling'
your butt around ? If the latter, are
you making much money ?

(Sorry ! Warped sense of humor !
Just couldn't resist that little jab !)

Haven't ridden a bicycle in ages !
Once I got my license, I haven't been on any 'bike' that didn't have a motor !

I've never fished either spot this
late in the season - if it's cold
enough to make knot tying difficult, then I'm done for the season !

Best time I've found for that area
is mid- to late-spring, just before, during, and just after the bass
spawning season ! Don't forget
that bass fishing is catch-and-
release only from mid-May to mid-June during the spawn !
