Hey all
Havent posted or pretty well haven't been fishing or boating in the last few mo due to a boating accident by another boater in the lake community we live in . Seems the wake surfer caused me to partially fall between my boat and the doc. Thanks to Gods good graces only my hand became injured and not my head.
I have since had an extensive operation to repair the damge to my right hand an arm. It's bee0n 2 months and am looking at 4 more in this double cast.
However I'm good and can't complain there are people fairing worse than me.
I am on house arrest. Pretty much cant drive or get out but recovering fairly. My neighbors are great supports as well as others, whom have kept me in their prayers. I miss getting out but there (with the grace of God) will have a great time next season . I look forward to writting more but I'm typing. with only my left hand and was type challenged before the accident.

So what happened to the wake surfer since they caused the accident did they have any kind of legal action or not

Darn Bill. You did come out on the lucky side. It could have gone real bad for you. Wake surfing should be outlawed. It's caused alot of problems for others. Good luck with your recovery 👍👍

Hope you have a smooth recovery, I'm all for the wake surfer getting fined and have to pay your medical bills

They use special boats, with ballast tanks in the stern. They flood the tanks, then throttle up. The boat stands up at about a 45°angle, throwing a huge wake. The rider steps off the swim platform onto a surfboard towed behind the boat. When they're ready the rope is released and they surf behind the boat on the monster wake.
It should be banned from most small to mid sized lakes, and be restricted to 1/2mile away from EVERYTHING.

Glad you're back, Bill. I'll be praying that when the cast comes off, your hand will be back to 100%.
