Saltwater sunfish ? First for me -
never heard of such a thing 'til
now ! This beast was caught in someone's fishing net somewhere
off the coast of North Africa !

Marine biologists estimated the weight at around 4,400 lbs. !

If they'd have had a fish fry, that
big boy could have fed everyone
at Woodstock !

Big A. I read a story about them near 50yrs ago. It was about encounters with these fish. A fishing boat caught one in 400/500 range. The fish attacked the boat repeatedly till it actually punched a hole in the side n sank it.

As RJS says there are over 50,000 on this site. I think that one could feed us all. Bring it to the meet and greet.

Yo ! Gordon !
That would be a good trick if I could pull it off ! It's a lo-o-o-ong way from Arizona to the north African coast - then I would need a semi and a
refrigerated trailer to haul the beast
back ! It's an even better trick
trying to do it on a Social
(In-) Security income !

Never ceases to amaze me what they “ find” in the ocean. They’re busy searching the universe and dont even know what’s swimming around THIS planet.

Here you go Danger, watch for the dorsal fin next time you're offshore.

That's what they look like swimming.

Very true Danger. The ocean is the least explored. Well never know what all down there 🧜🧜 maybe😯
