Al, I read Crane as in the bird. Looking at the picture and not seeing a Crane (bird). Reread post and looked more carefully and realized ,not bird, but crane( construction) lol !

Had a guy out in a boat one time. Saw a snake curled on a rock up on the bank 40 feet away. He wouldn’t fish any more till we moved

Just because you don’t like something you don’t have to kill if everyone thought that way there wouldn’t be any creatures left on the planet not good

Hold the phones....

I have a big snake, she is a Red Tail Boa and her name is Ruby.
I have had her since she was a pup.
She is 8 years old and roughly jusy over 7 feet.
She will top out at around 8 feet.
She will never be set free in the wild.

She is quite docile, never bites anyone, and she loved to be held.

I get that invasive species need to be sterilized or eradicated.
especially when causing damage to an existing Eco system such as the Everglades.

Darn near loss the wife to a single brown recluse spider bite. Picked up a cinder block to place it on another and 2 black widows were within a inch of my fingers when i placed the block. Thus spiders in my life have no use.

As for snakes, never say never that they wont bite. Have had way to many close calls and know a few that have permanent damage from bites. Stand my ground, a good snake is a dead snake.
