Last week on Facebook someone contacted my wife asking “ are you married to Ben Bragg,if you are , id sure like to talk to him “
Well she provided phone number. This guy called and he was a guy we used to run with in 6th grade thru high school.
We were 2 of the 3 amigos and he kept in contact with the third
We talked for 1:04 . Catching up on being away for 40years That’s about 59 minutes longer phone call than id ever had.

He set up a 3 party call tonite and didn’t tell the other guy I was on the line. We had a pre arranged signal involving something I always said on the school bus
Well on cue I said this phrase and this guy was blown away!

This call lasted 2:29 . New world record for me . I generally say what I gotta say and hang up .
5 minutes is a long call from me

We talked and I haven’t laughed so hard or so much in a long , long time.
Story after story. Sadly a lot of our old aquaintenances and friends have passed .
Got one Dude we knew has been out of prison for 6 months since we graduated. Robbed a store that sold postage stamps. Graduation night. Federal automatic do not pass go . Go to jail , Back in now , eligible in 2027
Couple suicides
Some girls that were hot got fat , some stayed hot , even today.

All of us are fairly successful in our fields.
The first guy worked with the NTSB videoing plane crashes around the world . Now he has his own cinemetrograpy business Other guy manages an implement rental business and here’s me a burned out engineer

We are gonna link up in hometown with families for a weekend when our schedules can allow.

Now , I’d like to link up with some of my military buddies.
Daughters gonna help me with that. She’s good at the techno stuff

Me and these guys didn’t do anything “illegal” but definitely pushed the limits.
One of the guys had high dollar at the time Czechoslovakian made pellet rifles that would drive tacks at 20 yards.
Had 3. The good one he used , the lesser one I used “still far superior than what I had “ and the one we couldn’t touch. That’s ones worth 4K today.
Dude was an amazing shot , like splitting sewing thread at 15 yards. 8 out of 10

Touched my heart to reconnect.
Looking forward to similar experience from other periods of my life.

Re connected with an AF buddy I hadn't seen in over 40 years. Had no idea where he was till another AF buddy told me he lived down near me somewhere. Gave me his ph# and we got together and have been stayin in touch ever since. We go pheasant huntin together sometimes too.
He's lived in Union City, Ca. for over 20 years. When my daughter lived in Castro Valley for bout 9 years they only lived bout 15 min apart. Don't know how many times we visited her but would have been nice to know that then.

They say you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your relatives! I have been blessed with some great friends over the years. I still play golf with a buddy from 1st Grade and we do a bit of hunting and fishing together as well.

Not a lot but should. I had 5 good friends growing up. 4 are no longer with us and I talk with the other one periodically. Ive met lots of great guys on the stage here I'm in contact with often though 👍
