have big'uns here, but I'm not rigged for 'em - biggest I've seen (live) were bullheads up to maybe 2 lbs.(back in N.H.), so an 8 to 10 lb. fish would certainly be a very nice catch !

From one of the stories, I thought it was Kentucky, as there was mention of the MAMMOTH CAVES area - or
am I mistaken ? Been almost 60
years since I read Tom Sawyer/

I agree but my fishing partner caught the lake record recently...49.7# yellow cat. I don't really want to hook one that big, lol, I couldn't reel it in, nor could I hold it up for a pic. My fishing partner, a retired firefighter, is a fishing instructor for Texas Parks and Wildlife. I learn alot from him each time we fish.
