Yay for the farmers: I just butchered my last 3 beef and am getting ready to spin out about 75 pounds of honey. I do not depend on this for a living, but having been raised on a farm in Iowa do know the amount of hours a farmer puts in for the money they get is not a lot. We should all support them when we can.

I sure appreciate them. Hard to understand how they can do that around here in Southern New England. Housing developers routinely offer obscene amounts of money to buy small farms here so they can slap up a gated community with high end condos.. Yet the farmers soldier on. For their time and investment, their profits are mighty thin, and they are usually one bad season from new debt or disaster. My hat goes off to them all.

Nutz I worked on a dairy farm long days n sore backs but I enjoyed it.bine day the guy came to pick up the milk. He looked at me n said my boss must be loaded. Say he looked at his milk check $3000 for a month. Then bitched about how little he made. First thing wasn't his check to look at. I told that's nothing. That one wagon sitting there was $3500.00. He did figure how much it cost in that month to run the farm. 👍
