Housing developers routinely offer obscene amounts of money to buy small farms here so they can slap up a gated community with high end condos.. Yet the farmers soldier on. For their time and investment, their profits are mighty thin, and they are usually one bad season from new debt or disaster. My hat goes off to them all.
Nutz I worked on a dairy farm long days n sore backs but I enjoyed it.bine day the guy came to pick up the milk. He looked at me n said my boss must be loaded. Say he looked at his milk check $3000 for a month. Then bitched about how little he made. First thing wasn't his check to look at. I told that's nothing. That one wagon sitting there was $3500.00. He did figure how much it cost in that month to run the farm. 👍
