Couple of firsts.
Glen cove marina, Saturday sunset. I set up a Carolina rig, half ounce egg, with a swim bait, first time ever using this set up. I get my dog to sit next to me, and do my first cast, then it happened, my first fish ever on a first cast! And he’s a keeper, 18.5 inches! Sorry for the terrible picture but I had my pointer with me and she’s a handful when she sees a fish. First pic is from Saturday, the rest are small shakers caught last week.

Nice catching Lando, looks like your new rig works well. Congratulations and thanks for the pictures.

Good stuff man!! I’d love to bring my Pitties with me but I have no idea how they would react to the water or to a fish on the boat, great pics tho🎣
Glen cove in Vallejo. I fish at the boat entrance east of the carquinez bridge a couple hundred yards. It’s a nice little striper spot, just a lot of rocks and if you’re not careful lots of snags.
It took about 5 trips for my German shorthaired pointer to get used to fishing and to control herself around my bait and all that, now at only 3 months old she sits next to me while I bait my hooks, sits calmly while I cast my lures, and even retrieves my small stripers for me without harming them. Most keepers are still too big for her to carry.

as a kid use to bring my dogs with me but after the second time of dog running around as I am baiting my treble and driving it into my hand or finger and the trip to the doctor, dad said son you are a slow learner leave the dog at home. True story
Looks like the Carquinez bridge in the background so I would say thats probably Richmond. Used to fish the old whalers wharf which is likely no longer there. Good fishing for striper and flounder behind the Albany racetrack too.

I’m not going to bet my a$$ but I think he’s up river from the Napa. And looking at the bridge in his photo I’m thinking he’s on the north side of the Carquinez strait…🐟on

Close, I’m in Vallejo. The place I go to is called glen cove marina, east of the carquinez bridge. It’s always been a nice little striper hole and even when it’s crowded there’s still plenty of room
