New to the area. Which lake of the 4 is the hottest right now? Berlin, West Branch, Mosquito or Milton. I wanna try to get on some good crappie or perch, but wouldn't mind some walleye either. Erie is out of the question right now. Its been crazy rough. Thanks for the advice and input.

Only one I know where it's at is Erie. So you're either in Ohio, Pennsylvania or New York I presume. Tell us for sure where you're at and we'll try to help you out. Then post some photos. Good luck.

Mosquito or west branch would be your best choices for walleye. Hearing West Branch has had a really good walleye fishing this year thus far.

Berlin is great for crappie and perch.

Don’t know much about Milton

Ya they call it little Lake ERIE because it gets so rough. If you can head to the protected side of the causeway.

If your trolling try back and forth across the mouth of the opening and if the waves aren’t to bad the border of the refuge usually produces.

I’ll help you out when I can but I’m no expert. Vertical jigging right down the edges of drop offs is how I’ve heard they are doing the best.

Get yourself The Northern Ohio fishing maps guide by Sportsman Connection. Ton of good info!

My wife got it for me for Christmas a few years back. She got it off AMAZON. I have both the northern and southern Ohio guides. They are pretty informative, they have marked spots that produce, depths and good general info for most public lakes.

Wife just told me the package she purchased came with both spiral bound books and downloads for each book as well. I’m going to put the downloads on my IPAD today, will make sharing the info easier.
