So I’m looking to get another fly fishing bag. I recently got to stand in the surf while fishing and now think that I need a dry bag so the bigger waves don’t soak everything inside. I’m not sure about a backpack, sling, or Fanny pack. What is your favorite?

IF your not so deep that the waves hit your B*tt, a fanny pack would work best. IMO I would think a Sling would be more trouble than it is worth if your reeling in a fish.

I agree to disagree on this one. I have all three in my truck, (my daughter has no imagination for bd presents) and the one I use the most is the sling. Goes over one shoulder and across the chest. You can swing it to the front if you need something, but it stays on your back when you don't. Very easy to get on and off, and you can switch shoulders easily.

Yep I agree with you Flytier 👍🏽👍🏽
I don't have anything in my surf bag that can't get wet. I've never given a 'dry bag' a thought.
