Catfish bite at Silverwood Lake

Last two days the catfish has really turned on. Catfish being caught to 13 pounds southwest corner of the lake using anchovies and Danny King dip bait, Son John hooked into a near record catfish. Evening bite working best right before the sun sets. Tight lines and net required...fish on!

I am being out catfished by my son using the Danny King Dip Bait, similar smell to that Charlie Blood Bait for catfish, anchovies and mackerel are good the dip baits seems to work best for now.

Thanks Gordon on that east side. Earlier this year it was a good bite at Mojave Narrows Regional Park, that being Horseshoe Lake. Caught a 5, 6, and 7 pound trout on Powerbait, #20 treble hook and slip sinker set up, using 10# Seaguar Fluorocarbon and Trilene XL Ultra Green 4# test leader, Pflueger Supreme Spinning Reel, 6'-6" Ugly Stik. During the Trout Derby there in March heard that a 10# Calaveras Trout was caught. Good times during late winter to spring this year.
