Well got launched by about 8, as I was leaving the marina a guy that had launched a few minutes before me was heading back in already. I hadn’t noticed how choppy it was. The wind forecast was favorable.

I rigged up anyway, pointed her into the wind and gave it a shot for awhile. After an hour or so the wind died down, prior to that the trolling motor would come out of the water the swells were that big.

I ended up with 5 fish and missed a few others. Water was 55 when I launched, got up to 61 at noon when I got off the water.
The colors that worked for me today were purple, blue and green.

Lot of green algae

Good pics and a good day Bric. Is that algae normal in 55* water. Thought that was a warm water thing.

Nice Eyes Bric, your partner doesn't seem thrilled with the rough water. Nice looking lake. Thanks for the pictures.

Bric I don't think my pup would sit that still in my boat. Nice catch brother 👍🐱

The water on this lake gets pretty warm mid 70s in summer. It always gets some algae long as I’ve been around, but last couple years it been like soup by mid August.

He usually does pretty good. Didn’t like the rough water today.

Oh that’s his happy, chill look. He did fine once it calmed down and warmed up.
