Hi James, I am new on the Stage too and still learning the ropes. I have been to Bogue Inlet and on Emerald Isle. It is a beautiful place and one of many North Carolina's barrier islands. On my visits I mainly was just passing through but hope to go back for a longer stay. Currently, I am hanging out in Kill Devil Hills, NC which is one of the small towns of the Outer Banks. For nearly two years I have been retired and fishing a little more but not too much catching. Up here the Reds, Red Drum, Drum, whichever name you choose have been the big ticket. Soon, I will go try again, some of these guys have been giants. Sea Mullet have been biting all summer, they are small but fun. I think your Whiting is that very same fish. Anyway, welcome to this forum and lots of good luck when "on-line"....that is fishing for us old dudes..I am called Govna....because before retiring I called everyone else Govna, like the Australian's do in the movies. So, I was called the Govna by most everyone. It was something I just did to be different. No, I was born in VA with NC parents and spend time in both states.

If you're in KDH get your rear down to Oregon Inlet. My buddy caught 13 drum up to 50 inches in the last three days. That's not mentioning he and his wife limited out on specks in a couple hours.
