Sandbridge fishing

Heading down to fish Sandbridge Va second week of October. Going for drum. Any idea if you can bait there an what's the best to use.

I can tell you there are drum in Oregon inlet. This was caught by my friend yesterday. It was one of 8.

I can pretty well bet it was caught on mullet chunk.

Was down there last August had trouble finding bait. Any where to buy it.

Try cut Mullet, cut Spot, or Crab quarters.

That’s not what we call a drum. It’s a bull red. Whatever it’s called, it’s huge.

Wilkins Brothers south side of Sandbridge on Sandpiper to the right, before the fishing pier next to the Baja parking lot sells bait. Otherwise you have to go to VA Beach.

Doesn' matter, you have to release them anyway. Just got a text from my buddy. He and his wife limited out on speckled trout, then he went back to the inlet and caught three more big reds.

You can keep puppy Drum 18" to 27". Larger ones must be released. I do not remember the bag limit but what matter, a couple is plenty for dinner and the smaller ones taste better. If tou really want good eating, try Spot, Roundheads, or Pompano.

The limit in puppy drum is 1.
