I'm Ed form Terra Bella, Ca. ( a small ag town between Bakersfield and Visalia). Been fishing all my life but have really got the bug the last 10 years since retiring. Have had a small aluminum boat and motor since mid 80's but recently purchase a pontoon boat. I live near two lakes 1) Success Lake in Porterville and 2) Kaweah Lake in Woodlake area. Both are great bass lakes when the bite is on but very finicky other wise. Try to fish 2 to 3 days a week when I can. Seems Like I am always looking for a fishing partner and end up going by myself most of the time. But I don't let that stop me either.
Fccdfed: Well, not having a partner should not stop you. Once, I believe it was May each weekend i took some clients or friends fishing in Laguna Madre, or South Padre Island. We usually caught fish and had a grand time. Finlly, I guess it was the last weekend, no one could go, so I went alone. Had a terrific time, because I did not have to accomodate anyone else, bait their hook, anything, I just did what ever I pleased and enjoyed it mucho! Just Sayin...RJS

Welcome to the Stage Ed, sounds like you've got it figured out. I fish alone in my boat as well, but go out with a couple other guys in their own boats. Kinda semi-competition.

Welcome aboard Ed….personally i like to fish alone, from the surf anyway….peaceful. Im sure a guy with a pontoon boat near two lakes can find fishing partners….
Welcome to FS. Take lots of pics
