While it's true that I may soon be

I might add), but the chances of our senior member landing a solid one

more like - 'A mosquito ! A mosquito landed on my chin !'

Unless he's using brass knuckles
(or some such cheating device),
he'd more likely smash his hand
or break his fingers on a granite

I'm much better known as a great lover

I'll give you credit for one thing -
you sure do have SOME wild imagination ! Great lover, indeed !

Seeing as you're a former Squid, maybe I shouldn't scoff too much -
the ladies surely do love sailors,
and probably more so WA-A-A-AY back in the forties !

Could be ! He's been around since
the beginning of creation - when the Lord said - "Let there be light !", he was the duty electrician who turned them on ! Since that was about four BILLION years ago, it means that our OLD friend really is - 'a day older than
dirt' !

You’d think a cephalopod would be good at poker. What gives?

Squids might prove more successful if they didn't have Marines sitting at the table with 'em. Marines, USA's finest, consider Swabbies a major source of their income. Our secret Prior to sitting at the table, we supply Water Lilies with Jack. It not only promotes losing, but allows them to enjoy their losses.

Squids might prove more successful if they didn't ... (show quote)

You’d think, with 8 arms, one would be adept in cheating at poker. I guess most are clutching those water lilies. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
