Paper clips work great

Trokar and some other Eagle Claw hooks come on a paperclip shaped wire to keep them from getting tangled.

store different sizes on a safety pin, then those can go in small bottles, I have a small canvas bag that zips for storing plastic worms. but I have it divided up to each size hook, these are in the packs that they were sold in. I have another, that is used for spinnerbaits for bass fishing, sorted by size and by color.

Just in case I fish for walleye I have a bunch of hooks tied up with leader. then round pipe insulation and shallow slits around it/ stick the hook into the insulation next to a slit and wrap the leader around the slit.

I’ve got a bunch of size 5-1/0 single hooks of various patterns, in a pill bottle and I’m looking for a more convenient way to store them.

Do you have any suggestions?

I also use paper clips as well as safety pins for swivels, etc. But great idea for hooks as well. Always learn something new and useful on this site.

I keep my hooks on large safety pins with all of them turned the same direction. I use a separate pin for each sized hook and they do not get tangled into a large ball of hooks.

Being around a few more years than most of you, I have successfully used whole or half corks from wine bottles to safely keep hooks of all sizes in my tackle boxes.

This solution ran through my mind, last night, AFTER having headed off towards "LaLa-Land"... I also, used to keep corks/ hooks stuck in them, in a couple of different tackle boxes.
