Good thought Wulffy and good follow-up Plum. I am at OBX now with my best friend of 60+ years. It is an amazing friendship which I cherish. We have and always will be there for each other at any time and for any reason. I truly wish that everyone was able to have that in their lives

Last year I was forced to get a new phone cuz the one I had was obsolete and wouldn't work with the current technology. It's been almost a year and I still haven't figured it all out....... Hang in there buddy!

Hi GW. Same here no choice. I had 2 phones. One was old flip phone I had at work. Wife loses or breaks hers often. That was the spare. I was getting a new smartphone 5g not that I needed it. The other was going to be a flip. 3rd line promo was $200 off one over $200. I got another 5g smartphone for $16. I'm getting old to figure out things other than where the fish are 🤔🤔

My word, if we all lived in the same area we'd have to start our own country. There's very few people I've met in my life that I could call a really good friend. But I do believe there are several that I haven't met yet.

Same here ! Also lost my three best friends since 2012, two of which
were long-time friends and fishing/ camping buddies !

As for next-of-kin ? You can choose your friends, but not your family !
With the exception of my youngest brother (who has also passed), I've found that long-time friends are often closer/more helpful than family !

Hoping I can make it to the M & G
next spring - there are more than a few folks on this Forum that I'd like
to meet, and some who won't be going whom I'm hoping to meet beforehand ! Some of you really
ARE closer to me than my family !

I don't know about the rest of you but figuring out a new phone is a pain. I' have 2 to figure out. 😱😱

Don't you have grand-kids in the
10 to 15 year range to help/show
you how ? I thought that's what grandchildren were for !

Very true. Sad so many people don’t even care about that. My Mom, 92 years old, is going home from the hospital today after getting a pacemaker put in yesterday. She’s 600 miles away from me and talking to her this morning re-aligned my priorities. My two sisters are there with her but I’m gonna head that way for a few days to help her through the first couple of weeks when she gets home. Nothing more important than the good people we have in our lives. I’ve met many of those types of people here on the stage. I feel blessed to have a good group of gals and guys here as a second family in my opinion. From conversing with lots of people here on the stage I can see there are many here that would help a person out in time of need and I’m one of them. I pray for those who bash, attack, belittle and look for things to cause problems over because they don’t understand the importance of having good people in their lives. They are sad, angry people and need our prayers and positive guidance. I don’t dislike any of them and hope they see a better path some day.

With all the technological advancements in the past few
years, I am both surprised and disappointed that they have yet
to integrate a fish-finding app
into the newer phones, just for
us fishermen (and women) !

That’s another good one. It’s how I select my fishing buddies. If they’re not mesmerized by fishing and can’t keep their mouth to a gentle roar they don’t go with me twice. When I’m on the water it’s not a gossip session and I don’t want to hear about everybody’s marital problems or how they don’t like so and so or “guess what so and so said to so and so?” I’m there to enjoy nature and and maybe catch a fish or two. If my focus was gossip and drama I’d sell my boat and all of my fishing gear. Yeah, Nah!!! That isn’t gonna happen.
