I don't know about the rest of you, but it really torques my jaws when somebody on here throws out a general question asking for help or advice or tips for a particular lake that you're familiar with and you go out of your way (not really) to give them what you've got, you don't brush them off or ignore them, and then you get absolutely no reply. Not a thank you, I appreciate that or a kiss my ass. I'm not gonna stop, I always try to be as helpful as I can, especially with newbies, but it's happened to me more than once or twice where I've tried to help someone and they've never tried to get back to me to say thanks or to let me know how helpful (or not) I was. Come on man!

My rant's over.

Unfortunately Spirit, I see it in work every day. Trying to train the next generation of Set-up men, I try to share little things that make the job easier, and quicker, things you'll never learn going "By the book ". Not only get no acknowledgement or appreciation, but 2or 3 days later, they're doing it the hard way. Then my boss comes to me ,wondering why??
I've come to the conclusion that I can only do so much, if they can't accept the knowledge, it's on them, not me.

That would, actually, be better than one who will send you about 9 snotty replies right in a row. Nothing good to say? Don’t say nothing kinda thing.

I agree and I have heard back from some and it is always gratifying knowing at least someone read what you posted. I have found I enjoy reading other peoples post that did not ask the question but have some feed back on what I had posted and then add their thoughts on the subject, so while I like getting feedback from the original poster I usually enjoy the feedback just as much from others member's post and that includes your posts on the different subjects so thanks for staying engaged even if you don't hear back.

Ha! It's those folks that ask about a specific location, ask where the fish are, what bait to use, and what time to fish that k**l me

When I first came onto the Stage, it was you, plum and oz that greeted me and showed me around so to speak. I've looked back at some of those posts and I can't find a one where if someone responded to a post of mine I didn't in some way acknowledge (at least) that I had read their response. To me, not doing so is rude. And y'all know how Woodrow Call felt about people being rude, right? He and I see eye to eye on that.

Exactly what got me riled this time. I provided a lot of information. You're welcome.

Well, maybe he hasn't read my response yet. Yeah. Sure. That's what it is.

Hey Spirit...Kiss my A$$.....(JK)

I'LL answer with my thoughts about using bass tactics on trout. It was Your question in another post. A goood question I think.

It has been my experience that trout can see very well, better than bass in most case. For this reason light tackle would be best. Maybe a small eagle claw hook, Texas r****d into the shrimp, working into the current.

I have always used ultra light gear. Lures like the panther martin I fish side to side off the bottom working the eddies. All live bait and plastics I fish on the bottom, typical against the current. Some times with the current but that takes practice to feel a "bump". I know you are an avid trout fisherman but I have to add, fishing into the current (downstream) be sure to use an extra sensitive rod. I prefer the graphite rods myself.

Good Luck and tight lines,

BD

PS. Just yanking your chain in the beginning.

Spirit, torques me off, to.

On a different note, I p¹$$Ed you off in a dream last night. I called you on the phone and when you answered I didn't know what I was going to talk to you about. Last I heard was "GET OFF MY PHONE! " Don't know what Freud would have to say about that dream. 🤔 Funny, I rarely remember dreams.

I agree, I like when they say, "Where to fish in Clueless Lake? I always want to suggest trying the water.

On the other hand, before I retired, sometimes I got caught up in stuff that just ate my time and I couldn't get to everything in a timely manner and sometimes the moment passes. Easy to forget when you've been retired for awhile. Doesn't excuse rudeness but perhaps gives a little bit of a pass to a couple of them.
