Hey I’ve been fishing with my dad commercially basically since birth. Currently 28 I only started taking things serious this year and I’d love to learn new trips and ways to catch and locate fish. What I meant by serious is actually understanding the science to fishing. Investing in gear. Nice rods and reel set ups. GPS and fish finder to find and locate where I’d like to set up. Butttt I am open to learn new tricks and ways. Plus my dad has barely taught me how to catch fluke and that looks like quite the catch as well. So does anyone here tautog black fish? What are some techniques? Sinkers, line, rod, reels, locations. I am from the southern Ma area and I don’t mind traveling anywhere in Massachusetts to Rhode Island for fish. I currently use my favorite set up a sielger sg reel paired with a st croix 6”10 MH Fast action. I think I’m a pro but haven’t been out there on my own as often as I’d like.
