Hoping to get info on locations, bait and or lures…

Haven't been there in yrs. Did go often in the passed. Fished from just down river from Solomon island bridge upriver about as far as i could go. A few striper on live bait n big swimbaits. For pearch i used white spinners. Spot n Crocker nightcrawlers n shrimp. Good luck. Almost forgot the blues that came up in there. Had some good crabbing there also

Thank you for the info… I’m on Hunting Creek about 1 mile north of Benedict bridge and only catch catfish and really small perch or an occasional spot.

When you fished for Striper in the river… I assume you trolled the channel with the big swim bait and off the bottom near the Solomons bridge piers?

Yes we did. We stayed at the campground down there. One old guy there always did better than us but he'd never tell exactly where or how. We'd go not far beyond the bridge. Wasn't my boat. Guy wont go any farther. When live lining we got bite off many by short blues.
