Hit the Napa today with prayer group Jim. Had a really good day, just about like Ben and I had Tuesday. Was windy from the get go and it didn't get any better.
Fished till bout noon and was repositioning the boat and the trollin motos quit workin and I figgered it was just the battery was too weak pulled it up to check if the prop was turnnin and the prop was gone. Guess the nut that holds it on came off and that was that.
I had another old trollin motor back here at the house so all is fixed now.
We ended up catchin quiet a few today and Jim finally caught a bunch castin lures along with the ones he caught trollin.
Two 18+ inchers bout 2 1/2 pounds and a 24+ incher that was 5 pounds.

Hey Bapa. I had to go back a ways in my pics to find one of my boat. It's a PT185 Bass Tracker. They replaced it with the 190. It has a 60HP 4stroke Merc on it.
It wouldn't let me go back that far to post it so I just took another pic of it now.

Nice fishing guys! Way to go!

I like wearing light colored apparel when fishing too, and I should probably own stock in the "spray-n-wash" bleach Company because I go thru a gallon each season getting out fish blood stains in my clothing!

We were on the water by 0730 and got off the water bout 2:30. We were done fishin mainly by 1:30 but I showed Jim around the upper river cause the boat launch had boats stacked up tryin to get off the water.

Sounds like another great day on the water saw, glad you all had fun. I’m going to try for stripers in sept if it all works out. My cousin is going to bring his boat when I go camping on the coast. Could you give me a couple of ideas to try for trolling for them, or casting for them. I’ve never targeted them before, but they have shut off the Salmon fishing in the River we are camping by so thought we might give the Stripers a shot. If you can that would be great, thanks

The Coquille River, hits the Ocean right by Bandon, Oregon. I’ve caught Bottom fish in the ocean there and Crabbed in the bay, but never fished the Coquille. One of the camping contacts over there just told us the Fish & Wildlife shut down the Salmon for the rest of the season but we might be able to fish for Stripers, so I’m going to check it out.
