I'm SloJoe. I just found this site--glad you're here. I haven't been surf finishing in years, and that was on the Northwest (not as in Panhandle). I'd like to learn how to fish for pompano and reds. I just bought a sand-flea rake. I'm a slow, but grateful learner.

Welcome to the forum Joe, I don't think the sand flea rake will catch any pomps or reds for you but if you go on youtube and learn how to use the rake and how to find the sand fleas, you may be able to catch some. If you are successful at catching the sand fleas, they may help catch some pomps, reds, sheepshead and who knows what else. They are a pretty good bait but don't overlook live shrimp, they are much easier to get, just buy some, and I think a better bait. Good Luck!
