I'm not much of a fisherman, but when I finally went fishing, members of the department said that they'd never heard me laugh, ever!
So, I had so much fun and enjoyed the time that I want to do more of this!
I know nothing and haven't any equipment. I live in Michigan and we have many lakes large and small. So where do I begin? Thanks for some simple info & direction. Lon

Welcome to the Forum, Lon. Give us some info. as to where you live in MI., what kind of fish are you targeting, how much money you have, to spend on fishing that is. We'll see what we can do.

Well, Lon, I don't know how outword you are but I do know that most fishermen are more than happy to take a newbie out fishing. Most fishermen have extra rods & reels that they will let you use while you are fishing with them. If you should lose some of their lures, not hooks or sinkers, but expensive walleye lures, offer to pay them for it. If you or your new found friend drink beer and most fishermen do, offer to bring a cooler, or buy him breakfast before the trip or lunch after the trip. Be a buddy, not a moocher. Is there a fishing club nearby? Ask around, see what you can find out. A fishing club is a great place place to gain information and help. Tight Lines & Good Luck!
