Riding the storm out

Had tornado warnings last night
Me and the missus took shelter in the basement and kept an eye on weather updates
Fortunately , we have a bar in the basement so it wasn’t too hateful and if we were in immediate threat we had quick access to the “cold room” , a poured concrete bunker under our front porch. Safest place imaginable
Even have emergency supply of foodstuff and water ( and a couple jars of moonshine ) in there along with radios , flashlights and other emergency stuff
It missed us No damage boat and truck ok.
Brother had his garage door implode.
He has it put back together.

Bout the only real damage is I cancelled my fishing trip this weekend.
Tornados and flash flooding will have the lake all jacked up

Glad you’re ok. Never been close to a tornado but have seen them over water, water spouts. I guess the way I would relate is a whole hurricane packaged into one bada$$ moving vortex.

You are more prepared than anyone I know. We have no basement in this new home. Bathroom closet, only room with no windows.

I've been close enough. Year and a half in Kansas at FT Riley. Had one go right past my barracks at FT Lee VA. Took out a church steeple in Petersburg. Only an F 1 though.

Glad ti hear things ok Ben. My time with the highway dept i saw much straight line wind damage n one tornado came through. It bounced all over the place. Damage where it touched down was bad. I tried out the gliding jig Thur. The water was so dirty. I put 2/3 of a ocho on it. Used the Oklahoma blade. I couldn't see it more than a couple inches down. What i saw at a slow retrive was a slow side to side wobble. I think it will work well in clear water. Y'all stay safe 👍👍

Ben which part of Dayton this time? Monkey's apartment is in Fairborn near Area A of Wright Patt but she was on Vacation with us in Colorado. Now she is headed for Cleveland. Kid likes to drive more than me.
