Growing old is a weird notion to try to wrap your mind around. As we go through life our perspectives change.
how we define success will change as well.Things that we thought were important at age thirty five may well be useless at age eighty nine. You may not think so but everything will shift.

At age four success is not peeing in your pants

At age twelve success is having friends

At age sixteen success is having a drivers license

At age eighteen success is having sex

at age s thirty to thirty five success is having money

At ages fifty to sixty success is having money

At age seventy five success is having sex

At age eighty success is having a drivers license
At age eighty nine success is not peeing in your pants

At ninety four success is sleeping past 4 AM
without having to go to the bathroom

Ah ! The 'Circle of Life' ! Ain't it
grand ? Don't you just LOVE the
idea of looking forward to peeing/crapping your pants
again ? Or having few/no teeth
left and having to 'gum' your food
to death ?

(Sorry, guys ! Some of us still
have most of our hair !) Came
into this life with SOME - expect
to be leaving with MORE !

I've got a scar that runs from under chin, down the front of my neck to almost behind my right ear. 32 lymph nodes removed along with Stage 3 cancer. The scar used to bother me. Bought turtlenecks for awhile to hide it. Now, it's my badge of honor. I beat cancer's a..

Your scars are a written record of your life's experiences.

When I was nine, I wished that I had more scars so that I'd look really badass.

On a follow-up visit after my first surgery, I told my Doctor that "This is the first scar I ever got that wasn't the result of bad judgement."

I tell people I was in a knife fight in a bar. "If you think my scar looks bad, you should see the other guy." Lol That always gets a look of disbelief or they laugh.

I'm so glad to hear that you won your battle with cancer g. I found this poster at the center where my wife is getting her treatments and thought it appropriate
