Flippin Ark visit. White River

went to Arkansas to visit my pops that I haven’t been able to see due to COVID So I got my son and my grandson to meet me there I’m in Cali and my son is from NC. We spent a great week helping pops and also doing a little fishing on the White River. We killed it my 5 year old grandson seemed to out fish papa and his dad 4 generation all fishing Together doing what we were born to do FISH , love of family, love of life and love fishing as a family life is good
Before the boat the day before we fished from shore and my son and I caught 38 browns and a butt load of trout, let them all go and kept one for dinner

Hey BT, some of those pics look like you are in front of my place on the White. Could I be correct? I am just below White Hole access and just above Sportsman's Resort. I am sitting on the porch right now watching the river go by. The wife and I waded at Wildcat Shoals and at Buffalo City this morning but only caught small bows and browns. It has been a beautiful day here on the White,

We launched out of Cotter and floated down about 6 miles and then when up river from Cotter to where there were a lot of homes right on the river edge never saw such a beautiful view i envoy you MAS fish you live in the greatest part of US Did the river go up any it was quite low last week when we were there but never-the less great fishing and great views

Good morning BT, yes it is a beautiful area and the water levels have been up and down all this week. They are at minimum flow this morning but they have been bringing it up with 3-4 generators running each afternoon and evening. We have caught a lot of nice sized fish so far this week. We are headed south today to the Ozark Folk Center to spend the day with our bil and then to Gaston's for dinner tonight. Another beautiful day in the Ozarks.

Lynny and I visited the Ozark Folk Center around 25 years ago. Really neat place. We bought an oil painting done by a local artist that is still in our dining room. It’s a beautiful area around Mountain View. We liked Jasper too.

Certainly can be some fast fishin (catchin?) to be had here. Funny memory while in checkout line gettin groceries, heard over the intercom "Thanks for shoppin at your Flippin Walmart". Struck me as pretty funny at the time! Nice pics.

We always laugh when we pass the Flippin Church of Christ or pass the school with the big sign for the Flippin Bobcats.lol

That Flippin church of Christ and god are the funniest many years ago I took that picture and shared it with many people and the remarks are unbelievable my mom rest her soul never could understand why I laughed every time we passed it
