Same as here. Night time is the best but I dont fish at night. I get to the lake at 7 and fish to about 11 in the morning. Cant help you on the bream. Gordon good luck

Otisray: Here is the rule I have always gone by. Go as often as you can, Stay as long as you can!

Of Course Gordon is correct probably more for catfish than anything else. They are more active at night. I have always believed that live bait trumps anything else, but obtaining it is always more difficult and sometimes impossible.

Extral large Cats are fond of large live perch and other fish that happen to be nearby when they are hungry. Just Sayin...RJS

Yup RJS is right big cats love big bluegills. I tried using a santee cooper rig and it works. Been watching to much YouTube.

All advice is correct but I also don't fish much at nite. My add would be to pickup a few crickets and some chicken livers or big night crawlers if can find. Crickets of course with a float for just longer cane/fiber pole. Start with liver on a smaller treble hook with the weight on bottom and a tied wire leader about a foot up on Cat poles. Once start catching bream use the to small to clean as bait for the Cat's. Dead or alive Cat's love'm. I actually have had some of my best catfishing in the heat of the day fishing deeper spots but Cat's can be active all day and the Liver starts attracting them because of blood and smell. Bream fishing to pass the time with Cat poles and a semi tight line with drag very low. That let's them take the bait and start to go. Give a little line, set the drag and hall back like catching bass to set hook. That's my two cents.

Mornings and evenings are the best, but you can fish all day around docks and trees. I use crickets, worms or mealworms. Good luck
