Lacamas Creek opens this coming Saturday.
Yes, there are some nice trout, both Browns and Rainbows which have found their way into the stream both below and above the lake. It is legal to fish to the base of the dam in the lower creek.
The creek is open to all gamefish and holds smallmouth bass and catfish as well.
Check out the Fish Washington App for your phone. It will give you all of the information you need for any body of water in the state in an interactive map.
Good luck!

Fantastic! Thank you so much for your response. I’m going to give it a shot this weekend. I’m assuming no live bait/barbless hooks.. I’ll check out the app, I appreciate the tips!
Cheers!

From the mouth to the footbridge selective gear rules are in effect. You can use single barbed hooks but no trebles. No live bait or scent is allowed. Above the footbridge to the base of the dam, general statewide rules are in effect. Bait is allowed there.
The limit for trout is two, but they must be over 14” to retain. All other game fish fall under state size and possession limits.

Oh, with the lake having algae issues, do you think there’s a cause for concern consuming fish from the creek?

I haven’t seen any advisories for toxic algae bloom this year. You could call WDFW office in Ridgefield and ask. They did just plant the lake in late April for the trout opener.
