The media has struck again. The pipe line going to the north east is shut down and our media has the south out of gas. This is a gas tank farm about a mile from our liquor store. Only shortage is not enough pumps to fill the trucks. This is at Buckeye Oil Co. On Virginia Ave. North Charleston.
The terminal in Macon Ga is the same. Can't keep up with panic buying. No shortage of fuel, just an inability to get it to all the stations fast enough. it will even out soon enough.
Absolutely right Gordon. The media is good at creating hysteria. My wife was reading about it last night and told me last night and again this morning to top off the tanks. Do you think the price of gas might go up?!! Look what just happened to lumber. Just sayin...
Maybe we should report on a jobs shortage to get some of these people to work rather that sitting home getting a check. My youngest had 2 people fight over her yesterday for her to work for them. One in peoples homes the other in nursing homes. They said they cant get people to show up.

Interesting. The local media here tells people the story and to NOT panic buy gas. Fill up like you normally do. Do people listen --No. They panic. Remember toilet paper. Can't people think for themselves? Obviously not. Like lambs to the slaughter or lemmings to the sea. Ain't no pill to fix stupid.

How can you hire people for $12-$15 per hour when our government gives them $800-900 a week unemployment for sitting home saying they are looking for a job. Are those running OUR country really that ignorant

Just looked at my video. Anybody know why they come up sideways??
My daughter tossed her worthless husband out after he choked her to the point of unconsciousness in front of her twin 10 year olds. She lost her job because of him showing up at her work with a gun and threatening to k**l her and all the people she worked with. She found another job making less money, and she's trying hard to make it on her own. She does not bring home 8 or 9 hundred dollars a week. Do y'all think she should quit her job and start collecting that 900 dollars a week from the gummint and stay home and take care of her girls. Or hang in there? Personally I think her employer should be savvy enough to see what a great employee he has and pay her a decent wage, but that's not very likely. So what say you all?
I would tell her to hang in there and also keep looking. There are some places hiring at decent wages around here.
Spirt, first did she file charges against the SOB for trying to k**l her and for Battery at her old work place? No, sorry. She needs a restraining order and witnesses for the one at her old work for a Red F**g ruling on him.
Now about Unemplyment, if she quits she can't file. At least in all the States I lived in. So she needs to get ahead enough to get past the time for the first checks to come in and then have them fire her.

I don't know how it works over there but I S.C. your employer has to do the paper work saying she was laid off. If she quits he ain't going to do that. I think she is doing the right thing and her kids are going to be very proud of her for what she is doing.
First, she's better off without the bum, even if she has to struggle. She and her kids should never have to go through that crap. Unfortunately the $800 unemployment has to be tied to C***d, she can't just quit . Good luck to your daughter and her twins.
