There ought to be some in your area. They like to hang near the bottom and love worms and small minnows fished below slip bobbers on #6 hooks or 1/16oz jigs outside of weed edges.
Hopefully someone close by will be along soon with good intel for you as to where they are biting.

I am just up the road from you near Atlanta.
I don’t fish for perch much, but I have fished Fletchers floodwaters through the ice and done fairly well on 10-12” fish.
Other than that, the Lewiston Lodge has good yellow perch dinners on fridays!😎
