Morning everyone, it turned off cold again with the thermometer reading right at 31* this morning and high today in the 50's maybe. We're not used to this weather here this time of year and the shorts and t shirt I wore all day yesterday are put to the side for a few days. Not to worry though by next week our weatherman is predicting 80's during the day. I'm sure the fish here are kinda freaked out with this cold front sending them back into deeper water but this to will pass when the weather warms a day or two.

Hope everyone has a great day, fish if you can wish if you can't. I'll be wishing today...

34* here, and that is a bit chilly compared to normal, whatever that is. Going up to 50 with some wind and a few high clouds. Glad I didn't move the plants out to the cold frame yet. They wouldn't have done too well out there last night. Might try for some trout today.

Good morning Ivey, Al, Troy, FT, and those who follow. 32°here and frosty also, with windchill in the 20s. Going up to high 50°s later but windy till tomorrow. Hopefully it's laid down by Saturday, I'd like to get out for the day, before Sunday's rain. Have a great day all.

Good morning everyone, 30 right now with a good wind. Had some wild marble sized hail yesterday afternoon with a nasty thunderstorm when that front blew it. Don’t believe the shop will be too busy today.

Morning Ivey and all y’all.
A hot 37 down here and 64 later and sunny 🌞. 😀 Brought the potted basil in last night just in case.
Found out it’s only $300 for them to bring Natural gas to the house so we went down yesterday and signed up for them to do it. We’re planning on getting a new stove so now we’ll get a duel fuel slide in range. And a gas fireplace insert for back up heat and ambiance. When the heat pump fails someday we’ll get a gas furnace. I’ve plumbed homes for gas before so I know how to do that.
I might go wet a line this evening down at the pier but I’ll need to go get some crappie tackle. I went through all my stuff a couple days ago and all I have is for trout and some bass lures I’ve picked up at yard sales but don’t really know how to use. Lol. Going to be a long learning curve.
Stay safe y’all and tight lines.

Always a good idea to have backup heat, many years back we had an ice storm that left us without power for 5 days. Luckily we had gas stove, water heater and wall heaters so we were good. I also had a portable generator so we'd run it to power the freezer and keep everything froze then we'd make the rounds to the neighbors to power theirs. We had quite a few visitors wanting to take a bath or cook but got thru it all very well. The more energy sources you got the better.

Good morning boys, Kandy and Katrinia woke up with us this morning.

Good move on the gas install FD. Let dish soap be your friend on the initial turn on.

I second that. Our gas insert kept us warm during the Texas cold snap we had this year without power for 23 hours and many ther people in Texas that were without power for days.
