Bobowizard: Friend, I cannot help with fishing in NH, in fact I have never been there! I suspect there are others who will be along and can help. We are over 35,000 strong, so there are hopefully some folks nearby. Just Sayin...RJS

Vacationed in NH. Ive fished around Winnepesaukee. Caught a lot of rock bass around docks and trout in the sluice way between Waukewan and Winne. I suggest an app called Fishbrain. It shows what anglers are catching near you.

Okay, what are we fishing for ? If you fish the 'salt', you have the Great Bay
and Piscataqua Rivers nearby; also, when the stripers are running, you can catch 'em right in town, below the dam on the Lamprey River !

There are trout streams and ponds within a half-hour's drive, such as the
Lamprey, Exeter and North Rivers,
and designated trout ponds like
Lucas Pond, or mixed-bag lakes like Bow Lake, all of which are within an hour's drive or less !

For good places for information on
where to fish for which species in
a given area/state, check out 'aafishing.com' (all about fishing.
com); for N.H.-specific info, the N.H. Fish & Game Dept. is a good place to start - they have bathymetric charts (depth/fishing maps) for over 600 lakes/ponds, each of them listing
the species to be found there, and map/directions on where/how to find them !

One spot I can tell you that is usually
very good for trout and close to home is the North River in Nottingham; it's less than 20 minutes out from Newmarket along State Rte.152 !

Just before Stage Rd. (Rte. 152) comes into Nottingham, McCrillis Rd.
shoots east; follow it to the bridge
and fish from the bridge downstream to the bend; have usually done well here early-season on 'bows' and brookies; just check the F & G site
for stocking schedules ! They'll take 'crawlers, flies, and most artificial
bait like corn, cheese, marshmallows and power baits ! Good luck and tight lines ! If you want/need more info, PM me on this Forum !
Oh, and WELCOME to our Forum !
