I have been watching this "fishing stage" for a couple of years now. Watched it grow from just dozen posts, or so, to what it is today! It's obvious that there is great cross section of "fishermen"
from all over the country, and the amount of various topics is amazing!
However, being from the Pacific Northwest, I am, just a little, disappointed in lack of posting from
the N.W.! - We have some "world" class lakes with trophy size rainbow trout! We have hundreds of miles of ocean coast line with some of the best eating in the world! There are as many "techniques"
as there fishermen! - Just saying; come on guys, let's hear from you!

Good mornin' kate, welcome to the Forum, not a lot of members from the Wash./Oregon area if that is where you mean by the N.W.
Yes, and you can include Idaho, and Montana too! - Best in the N.W.!!

Welcome aboard Kate. Here is a list of a few from your state that have been posting some good reports over there. Catfish has 4100 posts an yes he can catch a lot of catfish. Fast Randy aint to shabby either. Maybe some might be close enough that y'all can fish together. And yes I love seeing pictures. Again. Welcome to the stage. Glad to have you around

Thanks Fred. I forgot about that.
I am from the Northwest. Blaine Washington is as Northwest U.S. as you can get in the lower 48. Sorry, Point Roberts is the exception. There are several regulars from Oregon and Washington on here. That being said, I would also welcome more posts from the west side of the state. Thanks all you great folks that have been willing to share.

I too would like to see more posts of current results from our region. It seems that most of the posts are from new members seeking information on where and when to fish. Many “locals” are hesitant to share for fear that their favorite spot will be overrun with new folks.
I try to do my part, and share my results as well as techniques and equipment. I have corresponded with several members via PM and provided info.

I guess i didn't list my home base (Colville--eastern WA) when I registered so here's one more for the NW. I'm the bastard child that highly prefers pike and tiger muskies over the trout/salmon cadre.
yep! - nothing wrong with a fat pike!!!

Welcome to the site Kate. I had the same thought but you know not all fisher-people are willing to share thier secrets, honey holes etc...
I have fished many areas in the North West on the coast and rivers. Loved the Columbia River, Astoria and the mouth as well as Steelhead on the Willamette.
How about you Kate? Do you have any catches you want to share with the form? Love to see your catches.

Well we will see! We're going over to the coast in a couple of days. We Hope to bring home some
halibut! We are going to fish in an area we have not fished before. Even though it's only a few
miles from where we were living abroad our boat for 10 years! - The frezz needs re-filled!
