Fishing at Lake Skinner

Used to fish with my dad and brothers when I was younger and want to get back to it! I have a rod, reel and tackle, but need some general guidance to get me back in the game. I'm near Lake Skinner so I thought I'd start out there. Can anyone suggest test, tackle, bait, location, etc. for a beginner? Much appreciated!!

Welcome to the Forum, Polly. I would start at a good local tackle shop, not a big box store, and ask them what you would need. We don't know what you are going to be fishing for or where you are going to be fishing. Or, maybe you have a friend that fishes he/she can help you out. Good luck.

Welcome Polly I used to fish Lake Skinner back in the day with my dad we always did well there for trout best bet would be all your power baits,micestails or inflated nightcrawlers best of luck to you
