What should I be fishing for next week. I’m new to this site and would appreciate some direction.

Depends on where you are fishing. Be more specific and you should get replies.

Right now if you are saltwater fishing a few whiting and skates as well as puffers use the green shrimp fishbite they work real well and live shrimp be sure to check the rules in the area if you go to a bait stop they will be able to help also the creeks are a good place to snag drums but again check the rules wherever you go

Sounds like they were on a feeding frenzy. I saw that a few times of the year in NC. Just moved on to another location when that was happening.

Dolphins were the other bad guys. When a scholl of em came through had to wait a good 20 min to get back to catching.

Yes that has happened a few times but the first time I was afraid they would flip my boat over so I fired it up praying I didn’t hit one and wound it badly

Amazing power they have with that 3' - 4' wing span. Never bothered me in the yak even when i could see their tips glide beneath my yak, but then i was never in the mist of a frenzy.

Dolphins different story. I think they like messing with the smaller crafts. Had one come up on my port side within inches of the yak while i was standing and darn neared wet my pants on that one.
