The Indian river has a blue fish run in the spring. They bite good on jigs. You can also catch other fish there. Blue fish are really oily so in my opinion they aren't that good eating but they are salmon and steelhead size and fun to catch. You could also fish in Ocean City Md. for sea trout. Ocean City is a fun place to hang out for the day. Here is a link to to Delaware fishing places. https://www.destateparks.com/Adventures/Fishing I lived in Delaware for 17 years. Good luck with your search.

What kind of fishing are you looking for. I'm on the other end of the state but I fish all over. If you want fresh water you've got about a dozen ponds scattered around. If you want salt you've got charters,, party boats and surf at any of the state park beaches. Jetty jumping at Indian River Inlet. Give me a shout whenever you're ready.

Hey Jetman, I'm in Ocean View. Lots of good fishing in small ponds all over Sussex County as well as along the coast and the Indian River Bay inlet.

I have been fishing Lums pond, Becks pond and I went as far south as Killen pond, as well as fly fishing the Brandywine . Check the trout stocking site on DNR for several more that I'm not familiar with. Then there are multiple locations for salt water and surf fishing. If you search de dnrec website then go to fishing locations it will give you a map of maybe 30 locations or more. Some of the ponds are difficult to bank fish because of natural growth along the banks or because of development in the area but a lot of them have launch ramps. A state park annual pass is a must unless you want to pay 4 bucks a day. You can get one with a surf pass as well, but they're sold out for the year right now.

Good morning-

As I'm out exploring, i find these ponds and spill ways that seem pretty nice and accommodating for dock or shore fishing. Will report back with my adventures :-)
Thanks everyone for your advice and direction...stay in touch !

Welcome to Lower Slower..... Am sure you have discovered the huge numbers of local ponds. Lots of good fishing in many of them. Beach fishing is also a great pastime. Favorites are broadkill and bowers. Couple of good spots in Lewes as well. Toss me a note and we can work on getting together to wet a line.
