Went catfishing today Lake McClure caught a couple of good ones. Santee rig with hotdogs mix with orange jello, garlic, and anise.

Can I lie , I am a fisherman?? Got there at 8 AM two fish by 8:30 and not another bite, stay till 1300. Tomorrow going to be there 4 or 5 AM and see if the bite is early

Had to look it up. Looks like a Carolina rig with a float at the hook.

Nice catch Ranger, I like the camo sandspikes, so the fish can't see 'em, right?

Seen it on you-tube, really just a Caroline rig with a float 4 or 5 inches above your bait so it floats off the bottom. Some guy name Cooper was using it in the Santee river years ago so was name after him.

Thats interesting. A guy named Cooper fishing on the Santee river. The Santee River comes from the Santee Lakes and also the Cooper river comes from the Santee Lakes. And all is in the South Carolina. Cooper, Santee rig and Carolina rig goes together. And thats where I catch catfish.

That is where the name came from. Dieter Melhorn has a you-tube catfish channel and that is where I seen it. Nice bunch of cats.
