Hello everyone. I be been spinning recently and I have a question: Is it ok for the knot (Alberto in my case, or any other) to go through the guides when casting? Will it damage the knot or the guides?

I see no reason to worry about it. However, you might try having about 4 to 6 feet of llourocarbon leadeer and not ever bring the knot inside the first guide. Just Sayin...RJS
I start with a 10foot fluoro leader on both my spinning rods (12lb and 8lb) that usually lasts me all day, retieing, etc. I have no problem casting the knot thru the guides. I tie a double Albright,Nanofil to fluoro.

I run a Alberto thru micro guides all the time.
You will be ok
