I back pack to fishing spots often and one of the simple things I carry is a can of cold ravioli or chips. What things do you guys like to carry?

Jerky mostly but I like limes or lemons. Cut up your first couple of pan fish, toss ‘em in a baggie with lime juice and onions, and let em marinate for a bit. Homemade ceviche!

Beef jerky, sausage sticks, cheese curds but I fish in Wisconsin and Minnesota a lot. Cheese curds can also be used as bait for catfish. 🛶

More for hunting than fishing but works for both a ziplock bag with big chunks of ham swimming around in god mustard

A box of the assorted crackers, Beef Jerky and Viena sausages. My favorite though are the JackLinks beef and cheese snacks.

Never been able to eat Vienna sausage, but I do occasionally add a couple tins if sardines to my emergency rations.

Can't say I have. My Dad taught me about sardines. He'd get them packed in olive oil, sometimes with a mustard sauce

I’m with you Fly! I saw Vienna sausage and spam being made at the Swift plant at a young age and never touch the stuff. Sardines in mustard sauce and kipper snacks are great.
